Ompa til du dør
Ompa til du dør is Kaizers Orchestra's debut album and was recorded over six days in June 2001, with Jørgen Træen in Duper Studio in Bergen. The album was released on 1 September of the same year and aroused immediate excitement among a slightly shocked group of reviewers. The album sold over 100,000 copies in Norway over the next year and was on the VG list for a total of 49 weeks. The band received both the Spellemannpris and the Alarmpris for "Ompa til du dør" and the album is still the best-selling debut album in the history of Norwegian rock.
